Gearbox Sizing Guide
Step 1: Create an Account or Login
Before using our Product Selector Tool, you will need to create an account on Nabtesco Japan’s website. You will be able to use this account to download your files saved to your account directly onto your computer.
Step 2: Select Your Mechanism
After signing up or logging in, you will be prompted to choose a mechanism from the 6 examples that are available:
- rack and pinion
Step 3: Selecting Your Application
To better help your engineering and sales staff, you will be asked to provide the application for the project.
Step 3: Select a Gearbox Type
The next step will be to choose the Gearbox type you will need for your project:
Step 4: Input Load Conditions
Finally, you will be asked to input some information about the operating conditions (including basic load details, movement profile, and required service life).
After entering all required information, you can select a model from our product lineup and we will give you the optimal size that can be used for the given load conditions along with lifetime calculations.
From the results screen, you can use the same input information to investigate several different models in just a couple clicks.
At the end of the process, a reference report including the results is available in PDF for download. Prior reference reports are saved to your user profile, and can be accessed at any time from the website.
